LaManche Suspension Bridge Trail LaManche Suspension Bridge Trail - Discovering Newfoundland

LaManche Suspension Bridge Trail

Winter Hike

Walking the forested trail, discovering a little babbling brook along the way, hearing the sounds of birds in the distance, what a lovely day it was. As we continued down the path, we reach a “fork in the road”, which way do we go? Water could be heard to the left of us, so onward we go. And what a sight to see, gorgeous coastline, waterfalls, remnants of a community from the past, and the suspension bridge. We spent quite a bit of time taking photos, and admiring the view. We headed up the path towards the bridge, which was gently swaying in the breeze. Before we got to the other side of the bridge, we had to stop to take in the sites, admire the waterfall, and looking down into the waters it was so clear. On the other side of the bridge are a set of stairs leading up the side of the rock. The path continues on, but it was snow covered, and icy, we will have to try that for another day. All in all, it was a great day to be out Discovering Newfoundland!
